I highly concur. I sold a lot of higher end Duals with
the Signet series of cartridges ( predessor to the AT ML line )
Tracking was gorgeous...Lots of detail
Nice match .. The 5000 arm was the best Dual made...
I used to get less resonance and vibration when I altered
those Dual bases with a stuffed thin coating of modeling
clay - made the plastic bases vibrate less and increased
the mass/ weight lowering the effective resonance...
The clay is removable easily ...A more permanent damping
compund would be that Dyna Mat stuff that hi end Car Audio
installers use...
