Hi, audiogatorjim!I am glad that you posted this note!
I owned one of these over twenty years ago and purchased it from a public auction way back then.
I have always been totally impressed with the sound of these Tandberg receivers. Their pbono sections sound great. They are also virtually dead quiet. The FM is superb, to say the least!
In all, though there are no parts available from the manufacturer, the Tandberg receivers are gorgeous looking and gorgeous sounding units of a calibre seldom seen since that era.
As you can see, I am sort of fond of them!
They made models which were even more powerful, which included a 2055 and I believe, a 2075.
I think 1974-75 was when they first appeared, but I could be wrong in that regard.
And...how about the beautiful wooden cabinetry!
WOW!
(I happen to also own a Tandberg TD-20-A open reel tape recorder, which is styled along similar lines).
