i dinked around with a Thorens TD 160
I found the factory service center near me(got extra mountng boards)
accident ( now closed) And mounted a Grace 707
arm and Moving coil cartridge on it
just never could get to balance right with springs etc
Sold it piecemeal
then got off Audiogon a Rega 3 with RB 300 arm
found a good deal on hi output moving coil
took my time to set it up
sounds marvelous - the "magic" is back
Most of the members are right - Rega - yes
Thorens - no- a lot of effort to set up
