I wish I could say that Fed ex is better in all respects, but they are not. I don't think they are as rough when it comes to handling the packages, but they are just as bad when it comes to filing a claim. I just try to package defensely, but nothing is assured. Shipping audio gear was much better, and LESS expensive, when I got into the hobby in the early 70s. Damage was much less common.
