Need to improve antenna elements contact surface-improved reception

Which tuner to get and getting the most from it. Thank God, for the radio!

Greetings , Okay. This is a related , but not related question. Where better than Radio Road ?
TV antenna with a decline in the number of stations I used to recieve with no problem.
Live 1.5 miles from coast as the crow flies. Used to get San Deigo and Los Angeles stations. I have a 17db pre-amp on the antenna. I seem to now get half of the stations i used to get... a gradual drop. Ive ruled out the pre-amp. all contacts 5 yrs go were sealled w rubber boots and a rubberized sticky tape. Before I get up on the roof.... can you please suggest a specific product i can use to apply to all connections I will clean and re-seat. Goal improved signal ....Any thoughts , comments from you welcome. Thanks
