used in PA systems that use 70volt outputs. They can be used parafeed on their primary. You can even used the secondary balanced. Ground the 4 ohm lead and hook up the headphone balanced from the common and 16 ohm tap. Of course you'll have to rewire your headphones. Or leave them as is and use them unbalanced. Look for the Peerless transformers made for Altec on ebay. Gary Pimm's web site features a headphone amp made with a Radio Shack 70 volt constant voltage transformer and 12b4A tube. Very good!
