Jim, this is basically what I'm doing in my 813 Wildfire amp. Its a modification of Gary Pimm's CCS (cascoded mosfets) driving an 813 in grounded grid configuration. It works very well. No RF oscillations at all, very low distortion, so far the sound is quite good but it needs some more burn in and the real OPTs.John S.
