An undone feat would be to modify either the Seduction or AN with
a JFET-6922 cascode input stage. You can use Allen Wright's FVP5
schematic as a starting point... You need to source some of those crazy Japanese high-gm JFETs. 2SK170, SK369, etc... Although, when I looked into it, there were some cheap American varieties out of the Mouser catalog that seemed to have similar specs (2N7701 IIRC).This should also get you additional, high quality gain and Hi-Z in
so you can easily do Moving Coil... So, the money you save on a whole new project (just JFETs) can be recycled into an MC cart...
