ST-70 v. Bottlehead: Can't we all just get along?

I have had a number of ST-70's and still have one stock unit, as well as some Bottlehead amps. Frankly, I really like them all. Because of where I have them located, they tend to be used for different things - the ST-70, being in the basement/shop/gym, is more for background listening or higher volume episodes. The SEX Amp does dual duty in the study for headphone listening and running through high-efficiency speakers (bottlehead straight 8's) - and I still hardly use all the range on the volume control even with only about 2 watts to play with.

With high efficiency speakers, you're not likely to be using much of the ST-70's 35 watts, so the low output of a Bottlehead SEX Amp or Paramour probably wouldn't be a problem. I'd say if you have to choose one or the other, go for the SEX - you get the fun of building it in addition to tweaking it.

Where are you located? There are bottlehead gatherings in various locations where you could hear some gear, and you practically can't swing a dead cat without hitting an ST-70...
