I am planning to put my Diyclub CT-2 phono stage board with 5670 tubes (reportedly better than their LS-37) in a chassis, and am wondering about the trade-off between shielding and ventilation. (The power supply is in a separate box with an umbilical.) It would be hard to get the small tubes out through the top of a chassis into tube shields, because there are some tall caps on the board. Would sticking the whole thing in a ventilated box (one of the Par-metal aluminum designs) likely be alright with regard to shielding? Of course a lot of preamps such as the Dyna Pas have no ventilation at all. Thanks,
David
