There was an entire thread on this subject, including a link to a text by Norman Crowhurst that references cathode followers and the myth that they can drive "low impedances". Do a search on it.470k is my recommendation only. Perhaps others can tolerate the sonics when that advice is not followed. I don't know.
If a low input impedance must be driven, with low distortion, with tubes, then an output transformer is the best way to go, IMO.
