How about this. Running G2 at half the anode voltage from a stable supply (Pentode operation) but AC coupling the UL taps into G2?We still get the AC feedback but lose the problem of G2 = Anode.
Is this a reasonable "optimised UL" cheat where we don'e have seperate G2 windings?
