his name was Dr. Gizmo. And I THINK he would have told you to go right ahead and try it.. ;-)What you are doing is voicing your amplifier..and I would advise you to go right ahead with it. The drawback of voicing is that no-one can help you really... you are on your own..because you have to like it....you listen to your system...not us.
But I can tell you there is no reason to not mix resistors AFAIC..if at least all the resultant values remain the same.
