Poinz,A different chassis is the owner's idea, not mine. FWIW, I'd like see that "ancient" MagnaVox playing 78 RPM records again. The original chassis looks like there's enough room to accommodate a choke and O/P trafo. Also, I've got some ideas for squeezing every last drop out of piezoelectric phono carts. ;~)
