I do not know the 5687 sound.
I will receive the 6N6P in the next days.
Actually I use the 6N1P, the better double triode know for me.
The 6N1P is superior to all 6DJ8, 6922, 12AX7, 12AU7 , 12AT7, 5751 and others tubes. When I receive the 6N6P I will make a tube comparation with the 6N1P and return the results for you.
The 6N1P is the best double triode in my opinion.
But all is circuit dependent.Aldovan
