If you are still in the experimenting mode, you might try wiring your output transformers as autoformers. It seems to help, particularly with the cheap Radio Shack 70v line transformers.I've also used 240v/25 watt light bulbs as plate loads (2000 ohm per bulb) with double the B+. Those who've heard the amp (829B) like it. Take a look at the URL below and page down to the plexi-sled.
