Think about it. The Rp = 1700 ohms for these tubes in triode.
30H @ 20Hz = 3800 ohms. So, at 20Hz, the choke is loading
the tube 2:1 which means you are -6dB down which is fine.
Keep in mind the choke has to offer the 30H while taking on
the 30mA bias current of the 6v6.The same choke, with a lower Rp pseudotriode: i.e. EL34 (Rp=900ohms), KT88 (Rp=800 ohms), will have more bass that you can
shake a stick at.If you are religiously against interstage transformers, and
want LC coupling, just get the One Electron PRC-2 which give
you 48H at 75mA. This, as a plate load choke, will let you use
almost anything in the firmament with bass out the backside.-- Jim
