A real SRPP takes the output from the upper cathode, and has a low load impedance (a few Kohms for a 6922). It's a power amplifier.
What you want is a "mu follower," which is closely related. It takes the output from the lower tube's plate and works best into a high load impedance; it's a voltage amplifier. The upper tube acts as a current source, reducing distortion and allowing the gain to be nearly equal to the mu of the tube - around 33 for a 6922.
