"anyone else" ? How about the Ampeg SVT

the most powerful bass guitar amp from 1969 and my older bro had one. 2 people usually had to carry it.

And boy, was it badass. Heavy, and heavy in the lingo of the time. Nearly 100 pounds of tube muscle and it could easily destroy speaker cabs if the user wasn't careful, JBL's included. Rated back then at 300 watts

Johnny Winter used a couple of them for live gigs for his GUITAR. However, he destroyed his hearing and disappeared from the music scene.
