The power tranny I currently have in the 845 is a smaller one, but it's off load voltage is much higher, about 1450 I think (my dvm doesn't go that high so I did it by ratio). Any way.. I have been playing around with psud2 and it looks like I could get around 1000 vdc if I run it through the bridge and use a choke input filter. I am wondering if the general consensus would be to go with the monster tranny (lower voltage, higher amperage, cap input) or the smaller tranny (high voltage, lower amperage, choke input). Not trying to start a war, just really curious what y'all would prefer.
