got a friend who believes that my eico hf87 would sound great with 5881's. doesn't seem TOTALLY crazy-- as the GE 6ca7 isn't so radically different from what little i know.. but..electrically speaking-- how far off would i be, and how much danger would i be putting my trannies in? i know the el34 is capable of taking higher plate voltages by about 100-125v than a 5881-- i just wondered before i even THOUGHT about putting a quad in!
thanks much--
