I have been working on a 12B4 linestage, and I have
started to try different gridstopper resistors. My question concerns the two grid connections on the 12B4----pins 2 and 7---and whether I can use a single resistor going from the volume control to just one of the grid pins and the other left unconnected, or whether the two grid connections can be jumpered and then fed by a single resistor. So far I have been using a separate 1K resistor feeding each grid pin and no jumper between the pins. That works fine, but I'd like to avoid possible smearing effects of having the two R's essentially in parallel. Also, it would be nice to be able to buy just 2 Vishays to try instead of 4.
Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance for your help.
