to feed EACH first stage of your amp. They are only about $10
each from Antique electronic supply. If you feed your first stage
200UF filter cap with one of these, then you will attenuate such
LF transients to a great degree. Remember, those little 60H
Hammond chokes are pretty high resistance (about 2.7Kohms, if
I recall) and so you will have to acommodate for this to keep
your supply voltages where you want them --usually just downsizing
or eliminating whatever dropping resistor you are initially using
to feed the first stage filter cap.-Or- you could use VR tubes --but this requires more involved
calculations.The little chokes work like gangbusters, you will thank me.
Just keep 'em away from the PS trans, OPTs etc, and remember:
use two chokes, one for each individual channel's first stage.Keep me posted.
