If you have implemented a proper star ground where all signal paths go directly to ground at the hot end of the resistor, then there is no ground loop and the only effect of the resistor is to add ten Ohms to your power supply impedance.
These kinds of questions are impossible to answer without detailed schematics and wiring layout diagrams. Even then, to get to the bottom of it may require guesswork and careful testing on the lab bench.
