...your advice is perfect IF the amp is running in ultralinear mode already - ie with the screens at plate voltage. Then the bias doesn't need to change when you go to triode wiring, but....*BIG SMOKE WARNING*
If the amp is currently tetrode/pentode wired with the screens at a lower voltage than the plate - then triode connecting it will raise the screen voltage up to that of the plate - and then will need the bias re-adjusted so as to not damage the tubes from the excessive current that will be drawn because of the possibly much higher screen voltage.
With this taken into account - all should be fine.
