Yes and it depends on many factors. BUT... when you start to hear less clean deep snappy bass, that's your break even point of too much uf. The mids will begin to show more presence.
Two caps in parallel are better than one, three better than two for lowering ESR etc. Also makes it easier to add a bit at a time.
