Hi ,
It doesnt do this ESP thing , sounds a bit spiritual to me ;) Measuring ESR is a good way of telling the condition of a cap and you can test caps in circuit if discharged . Very useful if you have tons of vintage caps . Some of the old oilers are phenominal , others junk no pint in keeping hold of crap . Avoid TCC metalpack caps at all cost , I have tested hundreds and ALL were badcheers
