The pentode driver stage does not have much to offer in the way of ripple rejection, however, if your layout is decent and the power supply is well filtered, hum will not be an issue. I have less than 1 mv hum at speaker terminals. My supply is lcrc, with a snubber ahead of the choke. filter caps are 97uf and 97uf. B+ for the output is at junction of choke and first 97uf cap, B+ for el83 is at the last cap. I did float the el84 heater about 20v above ground.
