Partial feedback (T-Rex) with grid choke

Tested out the partial feedback example in the T-Rex 300B amplifier on my 300B amp. The result was mixed. The bass sounded faster but rolled of at the low end. The vocals sounded strange, hard and fuzzy. Did not like it at all. My amp: Choke loaded 6c45 drives the 300B via a cap. The grid resistor on the 300B is replaced with a grid choke (no gridstopper). The question is: How will the gridchoke/feedback loop behave compared with a grid resistor? How do I calculator the amount of feedback in this circuit?. Tested with a 2,2uF cap and 68k resistor from plate to grid.
