In a single ended stage, paralleling cathode resistors has an
advantage of reducing total noise by noise power averaging.. You
get a reduction of sqrt(N) dB for N parallel devices...However, this is a differential stage, so any noise is going to be
common mode and, in theory, is equally divided and then summed. So...
Shant matter... One might argue that ripple and noise off the PSU
will swamp the resistor noise regardless. :)I agree with the SE stage recommendation. Hence, paralleling cathode
R's or cathode JFETs in phono stages and what not. In the case of a
high-gm tube, it makes alot of sense to fight the noise when you are
