I has been some time since I have posted here. I had to put down my hobby for a number of years due to some lifestyle changes. I now have the opportunity to get back in. I have several pieces of tube equipment that need some help. I can afford to get them serviced, but would rather have the chance to aid in their rehab. The problem is that I am way out of my depth in this matter. I have no idea where to start with troubleshooting problem tube electronics. I have some tools but am afraid I may cause damage to either the equipment or myself. I need to know if there is anyone in the Rochester, NY area that may be willing to help me with repairing my vintage pieces. Again, this is not to cheap out on taking them somewhere for a fix, but a desire to learn something about these wonderful old pieces. Thanks to anyone who can give me a lead.
