If you are doing a simple SRPP, both sections of these tubes are identical (as are the 6DJ8). The section 1 advise is voodoo if the reasons are given as electrical.On the other hand, if you are really doing a Mu circuit, you could use a tube better suited for the current source section like a tetrode or even a IFR820 transistor.
