Hi ,
Too much gain !!! Also the 6DJ8 can sound nasty in common cathode circuits , why I don't know , as the curves look very linear . Why not use a small sig DHT such sitting on a NimH battery ? A grid choke on the power amp input would then be a more elegant solution to the autoformercheers
