I am attempting to build the Revenge C3m driving 300B amplifier on this link my Mauri Pannari www.lundahl.se/pdfs/other/pannari.pdfI would like to use a triode strapped C3G instead of a C3M mainly because I have 6.3v heater voltage.
Having put the amp together I noticed that the 300b draws ~130ma which is higher than the 80-90 that it needs to draw.
I suspect that the c3G needs different anode load resistor and probably different cathode resistor and cathode capacitor.
The circuit shows the C3M with a 22k anode load resitor with cathode 1.2k and 560mf. I have tried reducing the cathode resitor for C3G to .5k but the 300b still draws ~130ma.
Does anyone know how I can adapt Mauri's circuit to work with the C3G?
Any help appreciated.
