i adjusted some heath williamsons with similar modifications. when i found the chimera labs stuff, most made good sense and added to my changes.the power supply now uses fast recovery blah blah diodes, the original choke and good sized panasonic ts caps. the bias on the 6SN7 tung sol driver stages was important in decreasing the audible distortion. dumping the caps at the input and seriously increasing the cap quality between stages made a big difference.
the feedback cap and resistor are very important and a small amount of is actually ok when driving my less sensitive speakers. on my big 15" tannoys that need current, the Class A no feedbackyness just doesn't work out thaaaat well. if i high pass the speakers at around 80-100hz and use my semi-subwoofers, it works marvelously.
best,
