I finally checked out the tubes, actually taking them out of the boxes, and 2 were orange globe, the other 2 were bugle boy marked Germany. I don't know if this is good or bad, and I haven't heard them yet. And since this is a new preamp and I have nothing to compare them to I won't be able to comment.
