If your using solen coupling caps, change those to k40 pios before you do anything else.The true motor run in oil caps that are best are pre 1967 and they are paper in oil and not polypro in oil like many motor runs today.The thing is the solens in the power supply are now making the amp more revealing and now you need to change the coupling caps to pios and I bet that will solve your problem..You can try BGs after that but they are very expensive and it may not solve the problem your having.I use solens for filtering and they are great when used with the right stuff.
