Better bass but less musical.
Try a SOLEN 0.68uFd 630v SM cap
It will give you the 20V boost.
A 1uFd will give you ~35V increase.
Not much change in power output
Try it if you don't like it remove it.DanL
PS The powerful sound you heard was
probably the choke input PS change
not the lower volts.
