I have a similar Motorola amp except mine has push pull EL84's
for the bass channel.Same cheap resistors and ceramic caps though.
It was made in 1960 and does not have a finned power tranny.I have
a Zenith black and white set from 1962 that has a finned power
transformer.I was told by an old timer those cooling fins were needed
because the transformers were made cheaply and undersized.The fins
were needed to keep the temp.rise down.It is hard to believe but
even in the early 60's consumer electronics manufacturers were
cutting corners.
