I do not believe a simple tube type FM tuner design exists. If the design is too simple, sensitivity and I.F. adjacent frequency rejection would be poor. Minimum requirements for myself is a single stage RF amp, oscillator, mixer, four I.F. sections, limiter, two dual section tubes for the multiplexer, audio out & preference of a rectifier tube. That is a ten tube set.
