....voltage regulated supplies, as fatbottle suggests; search for his posts on using the lm317; I THINK you might find, oddly enough, that current regulated heaters with DC sounds as good as AC. IF IT DOES NOT, let me know, because I will then know the reason why. (I know the reason why right now, but I'd rather you confirm whether current regulated DC sounds as good or not as good as AC). wouldjuhplease? I'd do the experiment myself, but I've found my hearing is simply not sensitive enough to be sure I could tell whether DC vs AC, voltage or current regulated, makes a difference, whereas you're already there in terms of sonic perception.
