Do It Yourself (DIY) paradise for tube and SET project builders.

by the way, the final conclusion I've come to is.....

....that the tube regulator part is too problematic and certainly too expensive, although shunt regulation would probably work pretty well.

What I want to try INSTEAD is this:

Big TX going to a CLC with critical inductance, low DCR, and a HUGE capacitor for the second cap of the CLC, with faster caps parralelled, THEN a very low DCR low inductance LC output stage for the amp itself. If regulated screen needed, can always add that on, or do separate supply, since not much current, not expensive, not swinging all over the place.

THIS I will try, but not until I slay a few dragons in my way. When I do, I will report it and maybe someone with better ears than me and some testing equipment can try it out. Cheers!! :)
