Re: Anyone here built Pete Millett's 6B4g Monoblocks?

If it is anywhere near as nice as my 6B4G ST-70 it'll be a very good amp.

I hadn't seen that amp before, which is surprising because I searched everywhere for PP triode amps, and I'm familiar with the Meta-gizmo site. But I'll agree with what he says about PP triode, very good bass extension, imaging, clarity. I put it up against SE one time and I thought my baby sounded better (of course). SE was more relaxed, which isn't to my liking.

I need a new project for the fall and one option has been to rebuild my amp on a bigger chassis with room for big caps and more trannies. But given what I've done with so little I'm not sure I want to mess with it. Besides, its the only amp I have and to rebuild it means being without music while I'm doing it.
