do your recommendations for xformers still hold?
Is the Mullard 3-3 a decent sounding amp? I am not tied to the maggie circuit by any means. I want to build a nice, small EL84 based SE amp that will take input from a CD/DVD player and have a volume control. Speakers will be small Fostex "full range" BRs or maybe rear loaded horns. A small subwoofer may be employed at a later date to help fill in the lows down to 30 hz or so.
