Why do 6l6 amps get no respect...?

I am curiouse to this. I got my 1 off DIY'ed by someone else from long ago back together this mourning & it sounds even better then it did before she let loose.... I use el-84, 300B, mostlly but I pulled my EL-84 based amp in bedroom system for this amp, I prefer the sonics of this amp. Dual Power supplys, dual chokes, dual rectifier's, seperate filiment trannie, etc, & a wierd curcuit with a single 12ax7 for the pre section, 1 for each side. A 75LB amp that with even shaky russian equivilent 6l6's & Tungsol 5u4's just is amazing, I just don't get why 6l6 doesn't get mentioned much, to dull & boring tube type for most I suppose. On paper 6l6 must be deamed for guitar you only, but I tell ya this amp would prove that wrong.. into Fostex fe167e's & dang good. All I did was recap the dang thing & nothing else. Bare siver in cotton for speaker wire into the Fostex monitors. Dead quite also, which is also wierd, NO contole Noise..No fancy 999999 wire inside, just perfect layout & shielded signal paths, Very large trannies, PS & output.Dwarf my Scott 299b trannies. looks to be a DIY from the 50's ..Crazy dang thing.. Please tell me why 6l6 sucks, I am very curiouse...........
