RE: Plusdeck 2C - anybody used this thingy?

You can probably get better results for less money with a "normal" cassette deck connected directly to the line in of your sound card. Get the adapter cable from a computer store or "Rat Shack." Download the free program Audacity and use that to record to wav files. With Audacity you will be able to improve the quality of the poorly recorded ones. Don't expect miracles, but you should be able to clean up the sound and decrease the dynamic range so the loud passages don't damage your ears. After cleaning, you can export to mp3.
