Put the tape between whatever parts it looks like it should go between, paying special attention to the capstan and pinch roller. Make sure the tape contacts the FACE of the heads, not the backside (where the wires are connected).

If there are "tape guides", use common sense and what they taught you in science class about springs and tension. (Unless all they taught you was to "save the environment", in which case, you're in serious trouble!)
