I was recording eng..for St Louis Philharmonic for 19 years...Master tapes are superior to LPs but copies of tapes can also be better to LP also...Barkly Crocker did mutch better than Ampex copys...A new company will be making Submaster copies next month...Ill get the name for this forum tomorrow. I have over 100 master tapes...I was going to sell all but will hold off for now,,,Looking for second play only machine to do sub master work like Otari 810.
