How is it that with folks that have Magnecords, one is never enough? Well, back on the subject, I was pretty much in the same place shpickering is now. I'd always been into r-r ( since the '70's) and had bought a few pre-recorded tapes and even with poor machines, there was always something about them that rings true. Well, advice above is great but when it comes down to it, you can really only learn the fine art of buying these tapes by doing it. Most aren't that expensive so buy a few at a time from sellers with good feedback and if you take anything away from this thread,.. don't have them shipped media mail! I've had tapes from 400 miles away take a month and a half during the holiday season. Bear in mind that you might get a few dogs the first time out, but there are allot of great tapes out there to be had and when you get one, you'll know it!
