it's been awhile since i've listened to my boxes and boxes of cassettes, mostly tdk SA, SA-X and maxell XL2 taped about 10 years ago on my then tape decks, Akai GX52 and before that Aiwa ADF770. (i had to sell my stereo system about 8 years ago when i did 2 years of constant travelling... sigh)
But having seen a few 'top-end' decks going for apparently good prices, i was wondering if anyone here's used or can recommend any of these decks? (i decided against nakamichi, as i keep hearing problems of vintage naks dying mechanically and being hard to get parts etc. And i used to own a 582 that was great but ended up with weird solenoids...).
So, are these good prices for 3head dual capstan models? are there other models i should also consider?
tia!
